Obituary for Ruth Alice Wheeler Stone (Ainsberger)

Ruth Arnsberger Wheeler Stone, of Heise, Idaho, passed away in the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Boise the morning of August 9, 2013. She was 93..
Ruth was born October 18, 1919 to James Watson and Mabel Hibben Arnsberger at Butler Island, Idaho. She attended Ririe High School, graduating in 1938.
She married Raymond Milo Wheeler of Poplar, Idaho in 1939 and was his steadfast partner until his death in 1959. In 1968, she married Frank Stone. They were married 30 loving years until his death in 1999.
Mom was a wonderful homemaker and excellent cook. Her coffee pot was always on and friends and family received open door hospitality second to none. She was always available with a helping hand, or to share a laugh or just have a good “visit”. She loved music and was the church organist, but her finest talent was connecting to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special neighbors, each of whom knew they were held in the highest regard and prayed for daily. She loved the Ririe Community Church and her bible study group. She enjoyed her many travel adventures. She cherished her siblings and especially loved making music and singing together. Her home overlooking the beautiful south fork of the Snake River was the place to go and be comforted, loved, inspired and enjoyed. Blessed are we who share those memories.
Ruth is preceded in death by her by three brothers, James, Fred and Paul; a dearly beloved son, James Wheeler; grandchild, Scott Raymond; stepdaughter, Cheryl Codding; and grandson, Jeff Blakely. Surviving are her sister, Nellie Landon; son, Cameron Wheeler (Beverly); daughter, Ann Sabala (Lyn); stepdaughter, Arline Bowen (Jerome); grandchildren, Jennifer Barber (Bart), Justin Wheeler (Kiersha), Jon Sabala (Meaghana), Hillary Sabala (David), Abigail Sullivan (Ryan), Mark Blakely (Jody), Chere Morgan (Greg), and Jere Smith (Marty). Seventeen adored great grandchildren also filled her life with joy.
Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm St, in Idaho Falls at 11:00 AM Friday, August 16, 2013. Reverend Dennis Falasco will officiate. Family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to service time. Lunch will be served following the service.
