1920 ~ 2014
John L. MacInnis was born in Boise, Idaho on May 27, 1920. He died at his home in Boise at the age of 93 on January 9, 2014.
He joined the Army Air Force in 1941, and served at the rank of Sergeant. He was a Machine Gunner and Radio Operator on B24 Aircraft over the Western Pacific. Sergeant MacInnis was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Cluster.
John was a 50 year member of the El Korah Shrine in Boise. He retired from Morrison-Knudsen in 2010.
John is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean MacInnis; sons, John and Mike MacInnis; and grandsons, Jack and Pete.
Inurnment services will be held at a later date at Morris Hill Cemetery.
